There are levels of proficiency: Level 1, Level 2, Level 3. The recommended age to start playing Piano-K is from 2 to 4 years old.

Levels of Profieciency

There are three levels of proficency and the time spent on each level varies depending on the child's age and practice time.

The student needs to spend at least 12 weeks on each book or 1 song per week. There are 12 songs in each book to total 36 songs.

Level 1

Level 1 uses 7 notes so the child gets a basic overview of the keyboard, sound and notes.

Level 2

Level 2 Introduces the left hand, and another set of stickers broadens the keyboard area played with both hands to two octaves (15 notes). Student plays up to 3 notes at the same time developing independent hand movement and hand-eye coordination.

Level 3

A third set of 7 notes expands playing range to 3 octaves in Level 3. Four notes or more played at the same time with both hands gives the music a richer sound. Numbers are assigned to each finger to show the correct finger position.
